The data sections off to the right were overflowing so I had to change things up a bit. They're now each separate tabs at the top of the blog's main page. I actually like this a lot better and it wasn't difficult to do. I also added pre-op and post-op picture section. They're not all the most flattering photos, but it does show the gradual changes in the past 11 months.
I don't do this because I think anyone really *cares* too much about my statistics, rather, this is the one place that I keep all of my personal data. When I have difficult days, I can look back and see how much I've changed, even on the darkest and most challenging days.

Tramp Aerobics

Trampoline Aerobics. I've renamed it Tramp Aerobics. It makes me giggle. Whaaaaaa? It sounded crazy at first. I never thought I'd be able to do it. Wow. What a workout! Bounce bounce bounce. Bounce some more. That's the idea. There's warm up stretching, heavy cardio (jumping from tramp to tramp, jumping while tossing a ball back and forth, etc), then cool down. One HECK of a workout. I have to take a lot of breaks because I get a total head rush and get dizzy after a while. When I leave, my legs feel like Jello and I have to concentrate on walking or I'll fall flat on my face. My abs generally feel like they're on fire and my legs are pretty sore for a few days after.
The class is held at a huge indoor trampoline center. I found a Groupon for $30/10 classes, which has turned out to be a good deal. I have to wear all sorts of shapewear because the flab roll on my belly has a mind of its own on the trampolines. Seriously. I jump one way and the flab flies in the other direction. <sigh> I digress. My ultimate hope is that I can improve my balance (the weight loss has caused me to walk on the balls of my feet, instead of heel-toe).
Here's the description of the class...

How I Celebrated 100 Pounds
Here's what I decided on....a custom keychain (everything purchased from the bead store). I chose the heart because I love myself (cheesy, I know). There are four beads, one for each 25 pounds. The center one (the bling bling one) represents the big 100.
Total cost: $15.
Being proud of myself: Priceless.

100 Pounds Lost! Celebration Time!
I. DID. IT. I've lost 100 pounds. This was a major goal for me. Not only am I 100 pounds lighter, but there's also another part that is important to me. My BMI is now 34.7, which moves me from severely obese to just plain obese. An "ideal" BMI is 25. I've never been so happy to just be obese. My beginning BMI was 50.8. Click HERE for my preferred BMI calculator. I like the way that the different BMI levels are broken down.
There are 3,500 calories in a pound. I have resisted 350,000 calories! My "standard" meal at McDonald's used to be a #2 (2 cheeseburgers+medium fries). There are 980 calories in that meal. I'll round up to 1,000 for mathematical purposes. That's 350 meals that I've resisted. Whoa.
I have more work to do...but today I'm just plain happy. Happy for a healthier me, grateful to family and friends (on and offline) that have followed my journey. You guys have cheered me on when I did great, and provided supportive words and occasional kicks in the ass when I needed them.
and finally... THANK YOU, SAL!

1 Pound lost last month = pathetic!
Amy. This is yourself talking. Get your ass back in gear and lose the silly 5 pounds so you can finally say that you've lost 100. Be strong. Do not eat when you are stressed. Plan your meals and do not deviate. 1200 calories a day, allow up to 150 more if exercising. Focus.
You. Can. Do. This.
You. Can. Do. This.
